Brookline Dental Associates Practice Re-Opening

Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to our patients and their safety.

The Pennsylvania department of Health has recommended dental offices re – open for non-emergency treatment. We have closely been monitoring guidelines and will apply them as they are given. The staff and I are delighted to be treating our patients again. We have dearly missed you and look forward to seeing you. Below are some protocols we have put in place to allow a safe, streamlined and efficient appointment for you. Please take a moment to read over them and call the office should you have any questions or concerns.

Please be aware appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This may mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time. Patients with pain or emergencies will be seen first so please bear with us as we try and get you back on the schedule. We are all in this together and we will do everything in our power to accommodate you.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, and you will have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable.

Preparing to come to the office:

When you make your appt, you will be sent a text message with a link to a questionnaire, its important you click on the link and complete the questionnaire, these questions will allow us to best treat you when at the office. You will receive a second questionnaire, again via text, on the day of your appointment.

We ask that you brush your teeth well and wear a mask before coming in for your appointment.

We ask that when you arrive for your appointment you wait in your car and text 610-446-4225 with your name and appointment time to say you have arrived. You will then receive a confirmation text message.

Once a room is ready for you, you will receive a text message asking you to come into the office.

To reduce gathering in the reception area, we request that only the person being treated come into the office.  If the appointment is for a child, a parent or guardian can accompany them.

Once at the office:

A member of staff will greet you in the waiting room and take your temperature. You will be given hand sanitizer to use. If your temperature is or exceeds 100.4 degrees, your appointment will be rescheduled.

You will be taken back to your room and asked to wash your hands for one minute with soap and water and to rinse for 30 seconds with Peroxyl.

Once treatment is over, you may be scheduled from your room for your return appt or be directed to the front desk. You will be asked to use a hand sanitizer again and to check out with the front desk

Our office has always maintained the highest standard of care and infection control, whilst being in the treatment room and being treated your experience will be similar to prior appointments. We have always adhered to the most stringent of protocols and you will see us continue to do just that.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, healthy in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 610-446-4225. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.
